FAQ

1.What aerospace materials can you machine?

We machine common aerospace alloys including aluminum (e.g., 6061, 7075), titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), nickel-based superalloys (Inconel 718/625), stainless steels (17-4PH, 316), high-strength steels and selected aerospace composites. We can also provide required heat treatments and surface finishes (anodizing, chromate conversion, passivation, plating, sealing, etc.) per customer spec.

2.Do you provide material certifications and full traceability?

Yes. For flight-critical or controlled parts we supply Material Test Reports (MTRs) / Certificates of Conformance and maintain batch traceability. We can also support third-party inspections and aerospace quality requirements (e.g., AS9100 processes, NADCAP-related operations) when requested.

3.What size, tolerances and surface finishes can you achieve?

Typical capability covers small features of a few millimetres up to large parts (lengths dependent on machine/fixture). Typical tolerances: standard ±0.05 mm (≈0.0020"), precision machining to ±0.01 mm (≈0.0004") is available on request. Typical surface roughness Ra ranges from 1.6 µm down to 0.2 µm depending on material and process; mirror or ultra-finish operations can be quoted separately.

4.What inspection and quality documentation do you provide? Can you perform FAI?

We offer incoming inspection records, in-process checks, 100% or sample dimensional inspection, CMM reports, hardness tests and surface treatment records. We can perform First Article Inspection (FAI) to AS9102 standards and provide non-destructive testing (PT/UT/ET) or other inspection services as required.

5.What are your MOQ, lead times and production capacity?

We manufacture single prototypes, small batches and high-volume production. MOQ is flexible — we accept single sample parts. Lead time depends on complexity, material lead time and inspection scope: prototype/sample runs can be days to a few weeks; production lead times are scheduled per order size and process plan. A firm lead-time will be provided with your quotation.

6.What information do you need to provide an accurate quote?

To quote quickly and accurately please provide:

• 2D drawings or 3D models (STEP / IGES / Parasolid)

• Material grade and any required MTRs

• Quantity and target lead time

• Key tolerances / GD&T and critical features

• Surface finish, heat treat or plating requirements

• Required certifications or inspection standards (e.g., AS9102, NADCAP) and delivery address
